Captain Tom is 100! 🎂🥳🎈

Happy 100th birthday Captain Tom!

Did you know Captain Tom walked 100 laps of his garden and raised over 30 million pounds for the NHS? Amazing amount! The special Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) will carry out an aerial salute for him today.

To help Captain Tom celebrate his birthday you could make a birthday card or banners. You could find out about the aeroplanes that will fly today or design  stamp for Captain Tom. Maybe you could write a letter to Captain Tom and ask him about his life?

Tonight, after we have clapped for our NHS workers everyone is encouraged to sing Happy Birthday to the nations hero, Captain Tom.

Looking after our neighbours🌈

Charlie noticed that some of his neighbours didn’t have rainbows so he decided to make some for them. How kind Charlie, what a lovely neighbour you are 👍

New Baby 💙👶

Megan and her sister have welcomed a new baby brother into their family! Baby Charlie is very happy with this two helpful big sisters. Megan has been very busy too making a bug hotel and baking cakes. Well done Megan and congratulations to your family, Charlie is beautiful 😍

Flower hunt🌺🌼🌹

Teddy went for a walk around Blackhill park and saw many different types of flowers. He collected some leaves and made the hungry caterpillar 🐛

He has also made a list of what old and new toys are made of.

Happy Birthday, Jack! 🎂🎁🎉

Jack is 6! For his birthday he got a science experiment kit and has had so much fun mixing colours and predicting what the new colour will be. He has enjoyed riding his bike in the sunshine and even managed some work Well done Jack 👍I hope you had a lovely birthday 😊

Abigail’s work

Abigail has made a great start on this weeks task by starting a food diary and creating a Caterpillar out of leaves! Great job 👍

Butterfly Life cycles🐛🦋

Charlie and Mandy have watched a video about the butterfly life cycle. They have made their own, fabulous work 🤩

They have also decorated beautiful tealights to remember all of the key workers who are working on the frontline. Lovely thought 🕯

Fun in the Sun🌞

Eliza has been busy again! From baking to crafting, to building dens and going on scavenger hunts to making bubbles! Great work Eliza 👍

Reach for the stars🌠

Hollie has a keen interest in space, the moon and stars. She watched the Launch live on tv and then went outside to see if she could see the satellites in the sky. Hollie saw 3 sparkly moving stars in the sky. Then she drew some pictures and wrote about them. Over the weekend Hollie and Max got crafty and made their own rockets out of plastic bottles, and decorated them. Great job, very impressed! 🌟
